DATA CAPTURE
RFID has many advantages over a traditional barcode approach but that doesn’t mean that it is always the best method for data capture. Each method has advantages and disadvantages and a thorough understanding of these is essential to making the right selection of automatic data capture method for the process environment.
Within the Offshore Track group we have extensive knowledge and experience of both methods and their use in many different scenarios within supply chains and oil & gas supply/operations. We select the right method based upon process needs, environmental conditions and the type of physical material the data is being captured from.
TRACKING & TRACING
The key to successful supply chain and operations management is to know where things are, where they have been and when they didn’t arrive where they should have. Our expertise includes significant experience in transportation, logistics, customs and the technology to know where things are (track) and where they have been (trace).
We can work with the clients processes and systems, with their service provider’s system or supply our own systems for event management and global freight tracking. We also recommend the use of the GS1 EPCIS standards for event data and the open global exchange of event data between trading partners.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Our staff's project management experience level ranging from practitioner to having taught the subject globally for one of the world’s largest corporations and having developed a standard methodology. We use project management tools and techniques combined with a realistic and pragmatic approach to level and frequency of planning.
